# Applying a Secondary Operation

Do you need to add a paint operation to your quote? How about a lathe or grind? Secondary Operations in SecturaFAB allow you to calculate time and cost for operations such as these. 

 

A secondary operation is defined as operations added after the part is cut, such as bending, grinding, or painting. #### Applying a Secondary Operation to Multiple Line Items

Select the line items you would like your operation applied to, then, select "Operation."

Choose an operation and select equipment. If you do not see your operation, don't hesitate to contact your customer success manager or [explore our resource center for more information on setting up your operations.](https://help.secturafab.com/set-up-operations?hsLang=en) Input the calculator information then select "Add Operation" to complete.

#### Applying a Secondary Operation to a Single Line Item
