# Price Breaks

Need to set up different pricing for various quantities of the same item? Say hello to Price Breaks! This powerful feature lets you offer different margins or discounts based on the quantity or for specific line items, giving you flexibility in pricing and ensuring you stay competitive.

**Default Options**

Start by setting your default option for Price Breaks.  Navigate to "Preferences" from the Preferences & Costs settings. You can choose between:

- Quantity Matrix
- Line Items

**Quantity Matrix**  
When you choose the Quantity Matrix option, you can apply different margins or discounts directly within a matrix for the selected line item. This makes it easy to manage pricing tiers all in one place.

**Line Items**  
With the Line Item option, a copy of the line item is made for each quantity. This is perfect if you want to create separate line items for different quantities, giving you granular control over your pricing.
