# Release Notes: SecturaFAB Version 2024.7.16.5\_Linear Enhancements

SecturaFAB - What's NEW – July 2024

In this month’s release, we've tackled a crucial bug that previously impacted the accuracy of   
length detection in linear CAD files. This enhancement brings significant improvements,   
particularly for users working with tubes in various orientations or with bends

Key Improvements:

1. Enhanced Length Detection for Rotated Parts:
   
   We've implemented new centerline technology for linear parts drawn at a rotated orientation.   
   This update ensures that the length is accurately calculated using the true length of the geometry,   
   regardless of its orientation. This ensures precise measurements for all linear parts, no matter how they are rotated.

2. Accurate Measurement for Bent Tubes
   
   Our new center line technology extends its accuracy to bent tubes, a feature previously unavailable. This improvement ensures that both straight and bent tubes are measured correctly, enhancing the overall precision of your quotes and estimates.
